    About:
Young Norwegian designers Aslak Gurholt Rønsen and Espen Friberg, who have been collaborating on projects since they met in high school at the age of 16, inhabit Yokoland. Together they create design, illustration and art that are idyllic, humorous and poetic without ever being mawkish some of which has been featured in Hidden Track. Being one of the most inventive design studios of today, Yokoland skillfully blends their Scandinavian approach to design into their work melding elegant humor and human touch, exploring new ways of creating graphic design solutions to stunning effect.

This book takes you on their adventures and features the best of Yokoland’s work containing a range of their as yet relatively unknown work that brings different styles and surprising contrasts in a highly original way. Yokoland’s distinctive design can be aptly summarized by their record label’s company slogan: “We’re so underground that we’re almost in China”.

NO ONE KNOWS WHERE WE GO
This is a collaborative university project with Patrick Johnson. The project is based around the Bielski partisan during World War 2. The final piece was a 14 page book and a foldout 40x40cm poster in which a DVD with 'White Hot Drops' is enclosed. The posters have screen printed type in either orange or green.

Stephanie Congdon Barnes and Maria Alexandra Vettese are the photographers behind A Year of Mornings, a blog-turned-book that documents a year’s daily exchange of photos—one picture taken each morning and swapped by email—between two friends. What makes the pictures remarkable is that Barnes and Vettese seem of one mind, or at least one art director. Though the original Year of Mornings blog is now offline, you can catch Barnes and Vettese in their new form: a year of evenings.

Ye Rin Mok is a photographer from Seoul living in L.A. She has shot great photos for a whole ton of magazines you probably read like Spin, XLR8R, Bust, and Nylon to name a few. She just put out a new zine and sent one over for us to check out.

Okay, so, Its called Ichikawadaimon. 32 pages, full color laser. signed and numbered edition of 100 and comes with a c-print. pretty sweet.
The photos are from her trip to rural Japan last fall. The colors in her photos are all really saturated and have a lot of good tone. This is a really nice zine! Anyways, here are a couple pages from it.

We are Kelly Meador and Daniel Elwing; married, independent directors that collaborate under the alias of Impactist.
We are not a studio or facility that hires employees or freelancers. Impactist is just us two individuals.

In addition to live action directing, our work often encompasses that of writer, designer, animator, editor, and musician.

Our commercial work for clients ranging from Nike to Westin has been seen throughout the world in both large scale installations and intimate gallery venues, in addition to traditional broadcasts. These projects, along with numerous non-commercial works, have permitted us to be recognized and included in such lists and publications as IdN, Stash, Shots New Directors Reel, Adcritic's "Spot of the Day", RES magazine's "RES 10", and a nominee for the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award.

Now that that's out of the way, you should email or call us so we can work together with you on your next project.

Always open to hearing about new projects, we're forever looking for new commissions and collaborations.
