NO ONE KNOWS WHERE WE GO
This is a collaborative university project with Patrick Johnson. The project is based around the Bielski partisan during World War 2. The final piece was a 14 page book and a foldout 40x40cm poster in which a DVD with 'White Hot Drops' is enclosed. The posters have screen printed type in either orange or green.

Stephanie Congdon Barnes and Maria Alexandra Vettese are the photographers behind A Year of Mornings, a blog-turned-book that documents a year’s daily exchange of photos—one picture taken each morning and swapped by email—between two friends. What makes the pictures remarkable is that Barnes and Vettese seem of one mind, or at least one art director. Though the original Year of Mornings blog is now offline, you can catch Barnes and Vettese in their new form: a year of evenings.

Tim Barber grew up in Amherst Massachusetts, lived for a few years in the mountains of Northern Vermont, went to school in Vancouver B.C. and now lives in New York City.  A photographer, curator, publisher and designer, Barber runs the online gallery www.tinyvices.com, where visitors are encouraged to submit their photographs and artwork.  He launched the independent publishing house TV Books in 2008 (www.tvbookshop.com), producing unique books, artists monographs, zines and posters and has recently curated a series of five photography books published by the Aperture Foundation.

INVISIBLE THREAD

While rummaging through a vintage clothing store, I was drawn to a box of women’s sleepwear and undergarments, all aged and slightly used.  My thoughts were of the women and the stories behind this intimate apparel.  When I began to photograph the nylon and silk garments, the lights drew my attention to the threads.  Each piece began to take on a life and identity of their own, making me aware of the strength, fragility, and vulnerability that women periodically experience during their lifetimes.  Invisible thread points to the sometimes unforeseen truths of individual feminine experience, and the lines that connect us to one another.
